Damian Williams  
Founder of Leadership League

Damian's background in people development and organizational leadership combined with his love for sports helped birth the vision for Leadership League, a company that inspires and equips leaders to win in life and business.  His applied approach to coaching focuses on developing the individual leader in the context of the larger organization.

At the core of who Damian is, he loves to develop leaders. In his spare time you will find him spending time with his wife Anne and their two children, Jerica and Markus. He is an avid reader and also enjoys sporting events, the outdoors, and traveling.

 

 




Tunch Ilkin 
Senior VP of Program Development

Tunch currently serves as a television and radio analyst for the Pittsburgh Steelers. He played offensive tackle for the Steelers from 1980 to 1992 earning two Pro Bowl appearance honors (1988 and 1989). He played for the Green Bay Packers in 1993 before retiring from football. He served as Vice-President of the NFL Players Association from 1989 to 1994.

After retiring from football, Ilkin began appearing as a commentator and sports reporter on sports broadcasts in the Pittsburgh market. His popular segment, titled Lunch with Tunch, featured interviews with Steelers players and coaches.

In 1998, he joined the official Steelers broadcasting team of Myron Cope and Bill Hillgrove as an analyst. After Cope's retirement following the 2004 season, the team decided not to replace Cope and Ilkin took on the color-commentary duties once carried by Cope.

Ilkin works as an analyst on the Pittsburgh affiliate of Fox Sports Net and has written articles for NFLHS.com, a website for football fans.

Tunch Ilkin is currently married with three children: Tanner, Natalie, and Clay. The Ilkins reside in Upper St. Clair, a southern suburb of Pittsburgh. A convert from Islam to Christianity, Tunch Ilkin is the Director of Men's Ministries for South Hills Bible Chapel.

 

 



 

 


Mark Gorveatte
Consultant

Mark Gorveatte brings 25 years of leadership development experience to the Leadership League front office.

Mark’s early experiences included completing position classification analysis for the Personnel Board of of Jefferson County, Alabama while completing his graduate studies with the University of Alabama in Birmingham.  After graduation, Mark served as Professional Development Programs Coordinator for the University of Alabama’s Continuing Education Department in Birmingham.  Mark consulted with public and private corporations, assessing staff development needs and designing appropriate training solutions.  He also led strategic planning sessions for organizat ions such as the Red Cross – Birmingham Area Chapter.

Mark led a nonprofit in North Dakota from 1992-1998 where double-digit growth in services and revenues led to the development of a new campus and provided a wide array of leadership development opportunities.  He consulted on the design of a leadership development program with the area Chamber of Commerce and served as a advisor to the mayor.  Mark conducted leadership development programs at Mercy Hospital in Williston and for the University of Mary in Bismarck.  Mark was honored to be the University of Mary’s commencement speaker for graduation in 1999.

Mark served as state-wide director for a nonprofit in Wisconsin from 1998-2000 and continued providing leadership development and strategic planning consultation both within and without that organization as it grew and relocated the head office.

Since 2000, Mark has served as the CEO and Chairman of a $30 million corporation in Michigan.  The team he leads has broken records in revenues and customer acquisition for 9 of the past 10 years and realized equity growth from $70 to $130 million.  Mark continues to provide leadership development, strategic consulting and succession planning services inside and outside the organization.   He has coached or consulted with 25 start-up leaders in the last 12 years.  He has also provided coaching and consulting services internationally, in Azerbaijan, Canada and New Zealand.

Mark is a member of the Board of Trustees for Indiana Wesleyan University, the largest private university in the state of Indiana, and a founding board member for Never the Same camps in Houghton, New York.

He holds a BA from Southern Wesleyan University and the MPA from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.   He is married to Sherry, a CPA, and they have 4 amazing children.
